I became a personal trainer in 2013 (at the age of 38) after a lifetime of struggles with body image, weight, and mental health. It was a long road that lead me into fitness but once I fell in love with it for positive reasons (rather than trying to torture myself), I was hooked. I quickly learned that personal training wasn't my jam and I made my way into group fitness which has become my heart, soul, and career. I teach multiple formats and specialize in making it fun and accessible for all ages and abilities.
Why I became a SHiNE/UPLIFT Instructor
I found SHiNE in 2022 and thought it was amazing but not something I could do. I loved to dance as a kid and teen, but as happens to many of us, I was busy being being an adult, and hadn't danced in decades. But then I saw the Unstoppable routine on YouTube and became obsessed with being able to do it. I started hearing that song on the radio every time I was in the car - like every time, I swear it was a sign. I tend to be an all-or-nothing person so rather than becoming a member, I decided to jump all the way in and become an instructor without ever taking a class. Worst case, I learn something new and never teach it. It's exactly what I needed. I feel so alive when teaching SHiNE and seeing others find joy in their workout, and in their body, lights my soul on fire.Upcoming Classes
