You don't have to be a dancer to enjoy SHiNE Light, this is Reality Fitness, where there are no judgements or attitudes. Although we do encourage YOU to bring out your own unique Sass :) We have a ton of fun, while we work and move our bodies, to become stronger, more confident and fierce! I teach the SHiNE Light format, which is still as much fun as SHiNE, but geared for those of us who want easier to follow choreography, less impact and need modifications. I am SHiNE Certified, SHiNE Light Certified and CPR Certified. Contact me for more info on locations and times. I look forward to dancing with you!
Why I became a SHiNE/UPLIFT Instructor
I was introduced to SHiNE Online classes during March 2020 by my best friend. I fell in love instantly with all the online classes, which made me feel less anxious and worried, during the pandemic lockdowns and so much uncertainty. Then in June of 2022, my best friend and I met up in Arizona for SHiNE's SHiNEcation. WOW! Being in LIVE classes, surrounded by such positive energy and activities with 80 SHiNE instructors and Enthusiasts, was so mind blowing and incredibly soul filling and fun! I met so many new friends there. The culture of SHiNE is kindness, supportive, no judgements, and community. That was and continues to be my experience to this day. It was during that weekend, while speaking and hanging out with some SHiNE instructors, that I made the decision to take the Instructor Training. I had no dance experience, except for socially. I've never been a teacher or someone who liked to be up in front of people speaking. This was WAY out of my comfort zone. I can tell you that a year and a half later, here I am, much more confident, stronger mentally & physically and I am excited to share this format and community with you. My learning, technique and abilities/coordination keep growing, getting better & better with each step. I am THRILLED and proud to be part of SHiNE Instructorhood and Community!
