I've been dancing for over 40 years--and teaching little ones for nearly 30 years--so I think I've found the perfect use of my age and experience! I've been SHiNing online and in person since 2019. By 2021, I knew I had to get certified to teach this amazing format. And one year later, I was doing what I love--first subbing at various locations, and then finally landing at an amazing local studio with my own class . I've met folks from around the world via instructor calls, events, and trainings and couldn't be happier doing what I do.
Why I became a SHiNE/UPLIFT Instructor
There are many reasons why I became an instructor. My passion for dance and movement is strong--it's gotten me through many different life events. My joy in teaching is deeply rooted, as well. Mix in fantastic music, a network of talented, warm, supportive people, and a format that is inviting and inclusive. I was sold. Traveling to the SHiNE HQ for the Instructor Summit solidified all of these reasons--and highlighted countless others. SHiNE is more than a workout and more than a dance class. It is a fitness format that promotes physical and mental well being, community connections, and FUN.Upcoming Classes
